VC Sharp Shooters Annie Oakley, MH "Annie"

September 7, 1996 - July 24, 2010
Annie. “Princess Annie” actually. She never got into a lick of trouble at home; never chewed up something she wasn’t supposed to; never counter-surfed; rarely barked; being the princess that she was, would look at you in disgust if things did not suit her; loved the slough but hated the rain; was a workhorse in the field; could always count on a downed bird in the cattails be retrieved; a bit stubborn; greeted all new pups to our house with a snarl; would always dispatch the bird before delivering it to hand; knew she’d get table scraps from Mark and never me; and above all, loved her Mark.

Annie had one litter which produced a
Natural Ability Breeders Award and a Utility Breeders Award.
She was also from an NA and UT Breeders Award litter.

VC Intl. CH Sharp Shooters Lil Hottie, MH "Foxie"

Foxie is a natural when it comes to retrieving, tracking and locating game with ease as well as showing tremendous drive in the water locating downed ducks.  Briars, brush, water and snow are no deterrents to this girl.

Taking a cue from her sire, VC Sharp Shooters Time Bomb, MH and dam, Sharp Shooters Chesapeake Joy, MH, teamwork is job one.  Her ability to absorb and rebound from the ups and downs of training comes from her background of Versatile Champions, Master Hunters and Utility Prize I dogs.

You will find Foxie at home sneaking up on the couch to cuddle with either one of us or playing an endless game of fetch with the nearest object, whatever that may be.  Foxie's outgoing personality has made her our "social butterfly", always greeting and making friends with all those that come in contact with her.

Foxie was handled by Sydney Lieffert who obtained her International Show Title.

She is from a Natural Ability Breeders Award litter.

JJ Acres Remington Shells "Slash"

Mark & Slash in North Dakota '98.

Slash was our first shorthair. It was lucky for Slash and us that we met Clyde & Marilyn Vetter, otherwise Slash would not have been the dog he was. With Clyde's careful tutelage, Slash showed us what a good versatile dog can do.

He was a UPT Prize I and UT Prize I dog, he did the tests because that is what I asked him to do, but truly, Slash was a great meat dog. Give him a field and he'd find you birds.

Slash was in our lives for a very short 7-1/2 years but will be in our hearts forever.

Daffy's Benji

Small Munsterlander

We owned Benji for just a short while, but in that time we were able to achieve two Utility Prize I's on this dog. Benji is retired and living in Wisconsin.
2 x UT Prize I
